Glacier Computer is partnering with Synergistic Systems to offer LTL freight carriers a crossdock and yard-management software. Offering a complete solution for crossdock and yard-management applications, Synergy Cross Dock handles freight at the interval between the in-bound trailer bumping the dock and the outbound trailer closing and dispatching. The crossdock application resides on Glacier GX 1000 and GX 1200 industrial computers capable of operating in harsh environments. Glacier computers will help improve dock efficiency, eliminate fines and reloads, and improve customer

service. Glacier computers provide an RS232 interface to support freight reweigh programs using scales such as the Weigh-Tronix Quick Tach Lift Truck Scale. The crossdock application offers the ability to reweigh PRO bills using fork-mounted scales. Synergy Yard Management running on a Glacier industrial terminal provides a suite of applications, such as monitoring trailer status from entrance gate to exit gate and every step along the way. The combination of Glacier hardware and Synergy software allow for real time dispatching, elimination of voice communication through automatic emails and a reduction of trailer detention charges.
