IMAGING SYSTEM FOR AUTO ID SOLUTIONS

The VCM30 handles gauging, inspection, orientation, pattern matching, and recognition and correlation tasks. Thus, it can be used in food quality inspection, circuit manufacturing, cable manufacturing, mechanical application, sorting, packaging, and task completion. It’s bundled with normalized gray scale correlation pattern matching software. The optical system measures 10 by 1.3 inches. Vision Components

LIFT TRUCK FITS IN TIGHT PLACES

Models 8, 10C, and 13C electric, sit-down, counterbalanced lift trucks fit and operate in confined areas where only walkies typically operate. They are compact enough to be transported with load in freight most elevators. Capacities range from 1,477 to 2,314 pounds. Namco

GOOD NEWS FOR PAPER ROLLS

Line of large capacity lift trucks handles a range of applications, including pulp and paper. The Cushion BCS-8000 includes the System of Active Stability feature that helps prevent vehicles from tipping over. It also includes special features that address problems in the paper industry, such as overheating, roll clamp structural damage, improper roll clamp operation and low fuel economy. A special hose and valve combination designed in collaboration with Casade Corp., ensures the roll clamp attachment correctly receives the right pressures and hydraulic flows for proper operation. LIFT TRUCK HANDLES THE BENDS

Series PE 3560 rider pallet truck with extended lift elevates the forks and pallet up to 24 inches, reducing deep bending when picking low or floor level items. As the pallet is layered with cases, operators can lower it, keeping the work surface at a comfortable height. The fork-over design works best with pallets without bottom boards. The truck is available with 96-inch long forks. Truck capacity is to 6,000 pounds in the lowered condition and 2,500 pounds from 9.25 to 24 inches. Truck weight increases 930 pounds and overall length increases 7 inches. Crown Equipment Corp.

LIFT TRUCK MEETS ERGONOMIC NEEDS

On the UNS Tergo, the balanced tilt function responds to the driver’s body. The seat will tilt back 15 degrees to give the driver a clear upward view when stacking. This feature helps avoid neck strain. The servo-assisted steering wheel gives palm of the hand steering, eliminating wrist strain. The floating arm rest prevents stress to the upper arm and shoulders. Plus, its angle is adjustable. Function controls are laid out for touch-of-the-finger operation. On top of all these features, the truck can reach a speed of 6.2 miles per hour in less than three seconds. Atlet Inc.

BELTS GIVE MORE

The Long-Life HT belt is an O-ring belt for use on powered-roller conveyors. It will last up to six times longer than standard belts or enable the conveyor to increase its load capacity up to 40 percent. FDA-approved for application in the food industry, the belts have an operating temperature range of 20 to 130 degrees F. Dura-Belt Inc.

USE FLOOR SPACE MORE EFFICIENTLY

Multi Tower Shuttle Vertical Lift Module is available in several sizes. Three base models accommodate sheet metal, bar, rod, and tube stock and pallets. Each tray can handle up to 11,025 pounds. Each unit can have up to 210 trays. Maximum height is 132 feet with multiple workstations on various levels. Remstar International Inc.

LIGHTS OUT OPERATION

A combination of AGV technology and conventional industrial trucks, plus TRACE 2000 system controller, results in lights-out operation from warehouse receiving to shipping. This system can use existing racking and floor. Rack aisle widths can be set as close as 18 inches wider than the widest load. Trucks handle loads to 4,000 pounds at a maximum extended height of 24 feet. Hydraulic rack-and-pinion turret turns 180 degrees, allowing the truck to access both sides of the aisle without turning around. AGV Products Inc.

CONVEYORS KEEP A LOW PROFILE

The 2200 Series of low-profile conveyors offers efficient parts transfer for a range of small component parts during manufacturing, assembly, indexing, coding, labeling and shipping. Available in flat belt end drive, center drive, and cleated belt models, in widths of 2 to 24 inches and standard lengths of 2 to 24 feet. The V-guide belt tracking system is also available with the conveyors. Dorner Manufacturing Co.

ERGONOMIC REACH TRUCK

The DXR-35 narrow-aisle reach truck is available in 3,500-, 4,500-, and 5,500-pound capacities. Lift heights are to 29 feet. It will handle palletized products in aisles as narrow as 94 inches. It can function as a reach truck or as a counterbalanced utility vehicle. The operator compartment is designed with a sit-down, side-seated driver position with adjustable, ergonomic seat and smooth hydraulic controls for easy steering. Drexel Industries LLC

UPRGRADED PRINTER OFFERS INTERFACE CHOICES

The M-8490Se replaces the M-8490S. It uses the same print mechanism as the older model, but uses a more advanced 32-bit RISC CPU, and has faster clock speeds and more on-board memory. It supports the same command codes as the older model. It also offers a modular interface system. Users have a choice of one of five interfaces, which are changeable in the field. The interfaces are RS-232, Parallel, Universal Serial Bus, Ethernet and Twinax/coax. SATO America Inc.

ROBOT DOUBLE STACKS

A-Series robotic palletizer picks a pallet from a floor-mounted hopper or pallet conveyor, and stacks product in sequence. It then picks and places a second pallet on top of the first load and resumes stacking product on top of the second pallet. Double stacking equipment and double truck handling are eliminated. The robots can simultaneously palletize boxes, trays, bags and bundles with end-of-arm tooling designed for the application. Columbia/Okura, LLC

QUICK DISTRIBUTION

The One Touch Distribution system reduces the time, space, and labor required to pick, sort, and ship products in applications with less than full case orders. The system is an integrated, split case system that automatically sorts items, saving man-hours. From a collaborative effort of existing FKI Logistix member companies, it consists of a Crisplant cross belt or tilt tray sorter loop, induction stations, and sortation stations, White Systems horizontal carousels, and a Real-Time Solutions Pick-to-Light system. Its pick-to-light system helps eliminate the need for totes and complex conveyor systems. Crisplant Inc.
