The acquisition includes Dell's testing, remanufacturing, repairing and refurbishing operations for desktop, notebook, server and storage systems.
The 3PL says it will extend similar service offerings to other manufacturers of electronic devices in the 298,000-square foot facility located in Lebanon, Tenn. Genco partnered with Ft. Worth, Texas-based InteliSol for critical-parts harvesting, management and end-of-life recovery services in the same facility.
"We are extremely pleased to expand our partnership and range of value-added service offerings with Dell," says Stephen Fraser, president and chief executive officer of Genco's reverse logistics groups. "The addition of Dell's North American refurbishment capabilities and highly skilled team are a natural extension of our existing suite of margin recovery services, which include best-in-class returns management, software, transportation and product liquidation."
