ATLANTA—The grocery giant has chosen the provider of pallet platforms and systems as national supplier for it pooled pallet program.
Kroger, with 2,477 supermarkets in 31 states, has specific requirements for outsourced products and services, with quality, service, inventory control and safety/sanitation being pillars. Adrian Potgieter PECO’s vice president of sales, observes that, “Due to Kroger’s size, they are inclined to build relationships with suppliers like PECO since we advocate, and use, a detailed approach to both product transportation and pallet pooling.”
PECO maintains deliverables on a continual basis that helps eliminate several major concerns as well as achieving its “lowest life cycle cost per pallet” goal. PECO’s red pallets are used by many companies and brands, including private-label shippers.
