ORLANDO, Fla.–PepsiCo’s Quaker, Gatorade and Tropicana business units announced that they will begin integrating iGPS plastic pallets into their supply chain networks.

On April 1, 2009, the Quaker and Gatorade business units will begin integrating iGPS pallets across all SKUs, with the expectation of shipping exclusively on the iGPS platform as soon as all inventory on wood pallets turns, according to PepsiCo. The Tropicana chilled business will convert beginning May 1, 2009.

iGPS operates a pool of several million plastic pallets featuring embedded RFID tags for real-time shipment tracking.
