ARLINGTON, Va.—The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI) will induct five packaging professionals into the Packaging Hall of Fame during Pack Expo International 2008.
At Pack Expo, which will be held Nov. 9-13 in Chicago, a special ceremony will be held at the Hyatt McCormick Hotel on Nov. 11 to honor the following industry professionals:
* Jim Goodman, Goodman Packaging;
* Tom Lowery, Ethan Allen;
* Ben Miyares, PMMI;
* Eric Nord, Nordson Corp. (posthumously);
* Herb Schueneman, Westpak Inc.
“Members of the Packaging Hall of Fame Class of 2008 represent a broad cross section of the packaging supply chain, and their achievements reflect well on the caliber of the industry as a whole,” says Charles D. Yuska, PMMI president and CEO.
Since 1971, the Packaging Hall of Fame has recognized industry professionals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the packaging industry and packaging education efforts. The inductees are selected by a Packaging Hall of Fame Commission.
