NASHVILLE, Tenn.--The keynote addresses at the upcoming Rockwell Automation user group meeting will highlight open standards, sustainability and innovation.
The presentations will take place at Rockwell Automation 2008 Process Solution User’s Group Meeting to be held Nov. 17-18 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Three keynote speakers will take the stage over the two-day conference. Endress+Hauser COO, Michael Ziesemer, will present “Focus on Openness,” highlighting open standards in process applications. Joel Makower, executive editor, Greener World Media, will share his perspective in a speech titled “From Here to Sustainability, The Profits (and Pitfalls) of Environmentally Responsible Business.” Additionally, Herman Bozenhardt, senior vice president and general manager, BE&K BioPharm, will discuss the future of automation through his speech, “Automation Projects in 2010 and Beyond, Thinking and Living Outside the Box.”
In addition, attendees will hear from Rockwell Automation and its partners about advanced process control, regulatory compliance, energy management, development tools, legacy DCS migration, batch and MES solutions, safety and critical control, industry standards, asset management, process optimization, and plant-floor integration. New this year, attendees of educational sessions will receive continuing education units to help them meet their professional development requirements. Attendees ave the chance to see more than a dozen case-study presentations from users in food and beverage, oil and gas, chemical, water treatment, and life sciences industries.
The Rockwell Automation event is being held two days prior to the company’s Automation Fair show, also in Nashville, Tenn. At the 2008 Automation Fair event, targeted industrial forums and labs will provide an educational experience for manufacturers, and more than 100 Rockwell Automation partner companies are expected to display their latest innovations and products.
