David A. Madonia has been promoted to publishing director of Penton Media’s Supply Chain Group. The Group includes Logistics Today and Material Handling Management magazines and their related electronic media products.
Madonia has worked in the business-to-business media industry for 12 years in sales and marketing management. He joined Penton’s New Equipment Digest magazine in 1996 where he served in a variety of sales management roles. For the past eight months, he has been NED’s associate publisher and general manager for eMedia. Under his direction, NED’s eMedia product line was significantly enhanced and NED’s Web site was relaunched.
“Dave is a seasoned B2B media professional and brings extensive working knowledge of the material handling marketplace to his new Penton Supply Chain Group leadership role,” said Teri Mollison, group publisher, Penton Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Metals Groups. “His energy and strategic vision will certainly extend the work we’ve done in the past few years to build the Logistics Today and Material Handling Management brands through fresh market positioning, complete redesigns and the addition of new editorial leadership.”
Madonia replaces Newt Barrett, who left Penton to relocate and pursue personal interests.
