Seven months after a merger made it one of the country’s largest last-mile logistics and delivery providers, 3PD (Atlanta) has acquired Affinity Logistics (HD) Corporation, another leading last-mile company.

The acquisition increases 3PD’s projected annual revenues by more than 50% – from $200 million to nearly $300 million -- and increases its transportation bandwidth to 1,500 drivers and 1,350 trucks throughout the country. It also significantly expands 3PD’s expertise in dedicated last-mile transportation.

“Like our merger with GTS last December, this acquisition is part of our plan to be a well-rounded nationwide last-mile leader in a market that has traditionally offered only regional and local solutions,” said 3PD Chairman and CEO Karl Meyer. “The last-mile heavy goods delivery industry needs a player that can do the heavy lifting of being a coast-to-coast solution with a variety of service options, and we’re determined to be that company.

“We’ve admired Affinity’s service record and customer focus for a long time, and we are especially pleased to be adding its dedicated scale and experience to our platform.”
