SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif.—Third-party logistics provider Weber Distribution has opened a new, 12,500-square foot facility in Portland, Ore.
Located within the main Pacific Northwest transportation and warehousing corridor and 10 miles from the Port of Portland, the facility serves customers such as Capsugel, Ventura Foods, Ghirardelli and Kraft. Among other services, Weber provides warehousing, distribution, transportation and crossdocking. The 3PL hired John Betzina as service center manager of the new facility.
“Our growth in the Pacific Northwest is focused on LTL service to customers who require temperature-controlled transportation, primarily to distribution centers for the food and grocery business,” says Bob Lilja, Weber’s senior vice president.
