TranSystems (Kansas City, Mo.), a full-service transportation infrastructure and management consulting company, and ESYNC (Toledo, Ohio), a strategic supply chain consulting firm, announced the definitive agreement for a merger of the two companies. All ESYNC management and staff will be retained and ESYNC principals and co-founders, John Sidell and Jim McNerney, will continue as principals serving in leadership positions within TranSystems.
TranSystems has several lines of business including architectural, engineering and planning, real estate consulting and transportation security; the addition of ESYNC will bolster its rapidly growing supply chain management group. With over 1,000 employees across more than 38 sites, the merged organization will offer each other’s customers more robust consulting capabilities, wider geographic support and a deeper resource pool.“Given the ever-increasing demands that the global economy brings, this is absolutely the right time for this move.
TranSystems has a deep bench of international supply chain expertise, and that, combined with ESYNC’s breadth and depth of technical and operational talent, will add value to our clients’ global supply chains,” says John Sidell, principal, ESYNC.“ESYNC’s tremendous experience with supply chain operations and technical implementations is a vital link in TranSystems’ growth plan for the supply chain group, and a meaningful bridge to our existing transportation capabilities and expertise," says Brian Larson, TranSystems president and CEO. “We look forward to the knowledge, resources and market leadership the addition of ESYNC will bring.”
“We’ve planned the transition carefully and are excited by the opportunities the merger represents,” says Jim McNerney, principal, ESYNC . “Both companies are committed to ensuring that our clients experience a seamless transition.”
