NEW PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: DOCKLEVELERS
BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN TRAILER AND DOCK
Truss Head Leveler System uses a truss design, similar to that seen in car and train bridges. This design accommodates and relieves stress rather than trying to fight it. It comes in two versions. The Mechanical leveler comes with a full range float hold-down assembly and a cam-assisted lip counterbalance mechanism for consistent lip positioning. The Hydraulic leveler comes with a regenerative hydraulic system and automatic positioning for the leveler. Included is a selector switch for standard or below-dock-level operation. W.B. McGuire Co.
ONE SIZE FITS ALL
The Jumbo hudraulic dock leveler is 8 feet, 6 inches wide, allowing full access to wider, fully loaded trailers. It eliminates the 18-inch discrepancy often found between decks that are only 84 inches wide and trailers with wide loads. Rugged steel DokSaver bumpers are integral components of the leveler. They protect the leveler without obstructing loading and unloading. These bumpers and rear impact hinges also absorb a truck’s impact when it backs up to the dock. Standard equipment on the HJ-3100 model include the 7-inch-high, steel Safe-T-Lip run-off barrier, automatic return-to-dock recycle function, full-time, velocity fuse free-fall protection and infinite leveler/lip control.
Also available are the ThinMan Truck Leveler and Global Wheel-Lok Restraint System. The ThinMan lifts and positions trailer beds precisely to dock height for level loading and unloading. The Restraint system ensures safe access for lift trucks, holding the trailer securely to the dock during loading and unloading. Rite-Hite Corp.
LEVEL FAST
SpeedTouch pneumatic pit leveler offers push-button control, quick activation and easy lightweight lowering into the truck bed. Employees no longer need to bend over to pull a chain to activate a pit leveler. Loading and unloading can be completed fast. The control has a dual operation hold-down mechanism that will operate even during a power outage. It can be mounted above a door opening or in a remote location. An operating range of 12 inches above and below dock allows it to be recycled with a truck in position. Pioneer
DOCK DOOR CONTROL
Control system helps provide a safer working environment for dock personnel. It provides many options to customize the control of your dock area, including the dock system, actuation, interlocking and safety. The control integrates dock door operation with other equipment. Door-Man Manufacturing

ON THE SKID
Skid conveyors, for automotive body shop, paint shop and final assembly operations, have the carriers below the loads and out of the way of process equipment. Dual-track design provides stable load handling and allows in-line accumulation. The system also offers variable work height for better ergonomics. Two drive options are available, traditional steel chain drive and vulcanized steel cord rubber belt drive. Jervis B. Webb Co.
FILL-ER UP
The Pouch King 2000 horizontal form-fill-seal machine processes up to 2,500 inches per minute of linear web. Its continuous-motion filling system provides accurate pouch-to-pouch weight control. A common-socket flexible filling system uses simple slide-in change to enable a variety of product feeds. For food and pharmaceutical applications. R.A. Jones & Co. Inc.

READ ANY BAR CODE
The CLV 430/440 bar code scanners use SMART technology to read bar codes presented at high tilt angles, damaged by tearing, smearing or splotches, or partially hidden codes. Scan rates are from 200 to 800 Hz at a reading range of 2 to 32 inches. Metal housing provides durability. The CLV 430 is fixed-focus; the 440 uses Dynamic Focus Control, which allows it to accommodate a large depth of field. Scanner parameters are selectable through Windows-based software. Sick Inc.
PACKAGE IN BULK
Pan-Shrink bulk packaged thin-wall heat shrink tubing requires less warehouse space and results in less packaging to scrap or recycle. It also features labeled inner bags for individual package identification. Panduit Corp.
