Boeing Taps Lean Software Tool for MRO

Under the agreement, Boeing Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) has license rights to Miro's GOLDesp software line to use for overall base maintenance and repair, depot maintenance and modification, refurbishment and retrofit operations.

Boeing uses a GOLD lean-operations tool included in the software package to improve the aircraft overhaul business performed by IDS Global Services and Support. The system integrates inventory databases with shop-floor management programs, allowing them to work together as an enterprise package and eliminate paper-dependent processes.
