HK Systems and Irista, a provider of logistics management solutions, announced an alliance with ConnecTerra, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based developer of enterprise infrastructure software for RFID device computing.
ConnecTerra’s RFTagAware middleware will serve as the communication layer between various vendor RFID devices and Irista’s execution software. “As a Java-based application, RFTagAware complements iristaWare’s Java-architected application that simplifies integration and deployment,” stated Dave Adams, Irista vice president of product development. “RFTagAware will enable us to communicate with both legacy RFID applications and new EPC compliant solutions.”
ConnecTerra provides enterprise infrastructure software for device computing. Its products and technology help to extend enterprise awareness to networked devices such as RFID readers, where companies are looking to tap into the wealth of data captured by these devices.
