The new Orrville, Ohio parts distribution center for JLG Industries, Inc. (McConnellsburg, Pa.), was opened as part of a major manufacturing realignment.

The distribution center consolidates parts from three facilities into a central location capable of serving JLG’s global customers. Parts and components are available from JLG’s PartsPLUS program for all JLG brands of aerial work platforms and telehandlers as well as competitive products.

Vic Erickson, manager logistics, Parts and Accessories Distribution, said, “We are an international company and this new central location puts us in a position to support customers throughout the Americas and our distribution centers in Europe and Australia. We have an indoor storage area of 150,000 sq. ft. plus another 100,000 sq. ft. outside and stock everything from replacement booms and platforms down to the smallest fittings all in one location. With 26 vertical storage shuttles and a new high-speed conveyor system, we can ship virtually any one of our 49,000 SKU’s the same day the order is received. And if necessary, orders received by 6:00 p.m. EST can be delivered anywhere in North America by the next morning.”

He continued, “Although our parts inventory is in a new location, our customer support team is still located in McConnellsburg and we are maintaining the same systems for ordering products and providing customer support.”
