Congressman John Mica, chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, has been invited to discuss his proposed highway bill, the American Energy and Infrastructure Jobs, and other advocacy issues having an impact on transportation, at this year’s NASSTRAC logistics conference and expo, slated for April 29 through May 2, 2012, at the Buena Vista Palace in Orlando, Fla.

Other sessions include:

• Shipper best practices featuring presenters Bill Hutchinson, vice president of global logistics and fulfillment with Dell Computer; and Rick Schart, vice president-supply chain, Gregg Sayers, director-supply chain transportation, and Bill Stover, director-supply chain operations, all with Stein Mart.

• Perspectives from top executives with truckload and LTL carriers on industry issues and challenges, and how shippers and carriers can work together effectively in a market tight on capacity.
