ODIN technologies (Dulles, Va.), which focuses on the physics of RFID for solution design, deployment, and performance optimization software, was awarded a broad patent relating to the use of software and equipment to improve RFID accuracy and visibility. Patent number 7,132,948 was granted in early November and covers a system and method for optimally placing RFID tag and reader antennas. The intellectual property behind the patents forms the foundation of ODIN's EasyReader software.

"This optimization patent is an example of the many technical assets that ODIN employs to improve RFID performance on behalf of some of the world's largest RFID users,” said Patrick Sweeney, president and CEO. “The patent reinforces our industry leadership in making RFID accuracy more accessible to end users and integrators alike."
