National LTL carrier Overnite Transportation said it would improve regional service for five Michigan service centers and several other facilities in Indiana and Ohio by changing its Detroit Service Center to a minihub operation. Service centers in Battle Creek, Cadillac, Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Saginaw should see improved service. Other facilities in Indiana and Ohio served by the Detroit minihub include Fort Wayne and South Bend, Indiana and Cincinnati, Cleveland, Richfield, Toledo, and Youngstown, Ohio.

The company did not indicate actual transit time reductions.
