Annandale, NJ — Ingersoll Rand now offers its SMB Silver Series manual chain hoists, featuring high-strength, all-stamped steel construction that provides decreased weight and better impact resistance. The new manual chain hoists are ideal for a variety of material handling and industrial applications, including maintenance and repairs, utilities, oil refineries and chemical plants, steel mills and foundries, mining, shipbuilding and general construction.

The SMB Silver Series consists of six models with rated capacities ranging from 1/2-ton to 5 tons. They meet or exceed all regional safety requirements, are CE-certified and provide many new features and benefits to the operator.

They feature nickel and chrome-plated exteriors and zinc-plated frame components for increased corrosion resistance. Roller bearings on the input shafts and efficient gear reductions make lifting easier for the operator. The hoists also have overload protection as a standard offering, providing operator safety and minimizing downtime and repair costs from abuse.

They also have a single chain fall through three tons. Double load chain guides ensure proper load chain tracking and smooth operation around the load sheave. The hardened swivel-latch hooks provide additional durability and increased operator safety.

SMB Silver Series hoists also feature an open frame design and encased and retained roller bearings for increased efficiency and ease of maintenance.
