A dock is one of the most dangerous workplaces--whether that dock accepts truck or ship traffic. These real-life incidents demonstrate the care that must be taken to keep employees and cargo safe from damage. Depicted here are some of the most common dock issues, including early truck departure during forklift loading, failure to properly secure an awkward load, and failure to engage a semi's emergency brake. And as you'll see, even ship captains can have trouble putting on the brakes when approaching a dock.
