Convenience store retailer 7-Eleven Inc. (www.7-eleven.com) has promoted Simon Osborn to vice president of logistics. He will be responsible for the implementation of 7-Eleven's managed distribution process, including fresh-daily delivery, wholesale and direct-store-delivery. He was previously director of logistics.
Pharmaceutical distributor AmerisourceBergen Corp. (www.amerisourcebergen.com) has named Leonardo DeCandia senior vice president, supply chain management. He will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and integrity of the supply chain. He was previously with Hoffman-LaRoche Inc.
James Mandracchia has been promoted to vice president, integrated supply chain for Raytheon Technical Services Co. (www.raytheon.com), a provider of technology solutions for defense, federal and commercial companies. He was previously director, IT strategy and planning.
Matthew Stoll has been named president of USF Glen Moore Inc. (www.usfc.com). He was previously president and CEO of Shaffer Trucking. Douglas Waggoner has been promoted to president of USF Bestway Inc. He was previously senior vice president, strategic marketing.
Exel Direct, the big-ticket product fulfillment business unit of third-party logistics giant Exel (www.exel.com), has named Dan Flowers president. He was previously with UPS Supply Chain Solutions.
Stephen Ackerman has been named president of FKI Logistex North America (www.fkilogistex.com), a supplier of integrated material handling solutions. He was formerly president of FKI Logistex Alvey Systems, and he succeeds David Martin, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.
Nancy Olive has been named CEO of Skulogix Ltd. (www.skulogix.com), a third-party logistics provider (3PL) specializing in the consumer goods and retail industries. She had been with Tibbett & Britten Group Americas.
Container ship company CP Ships (www.cpships.com) has named Ray Miles chairman and Frank Halliwell CEO. Miles previously served as CEO and Halliwell as chief operating officer; former chairman Viscount Weir has been named lead independent director.
Conrad Strong has been promoted to chief harbormaster at Broward County's Port Everglades, Fla. (www.broward.org/port). The harbormaster office oversees all vessel movements and berth assignments at the South Florida seaport. Strong was previously assistant harbormaster.
David Ganovski has been named to lead the new Office of Freight Logistics within the Maryland Department of Transportation. The Office will serve as a central location that will facilitate interaction between Maryland's various transportation agencies and the private sector freight community. Ganovski was previously with the Maryland Transit Administration.
David Donnan has been named president, North America of Checkpoint Systems Inc. (www.checkpt.com), a provider of solutions for retail security, labeling, merchandising and access control. He was formerly with A.T. Kearney.
Val Noel has been named president of Pacer Cartage, the local trucking business unit of Pacer International Inc. (www.pacer-international.com), a non-asset based 3PL. He was previously with CSX Intermodal.
