China, Germany and Russia have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation signaling Eurasian railway transportation aimed at providing competitive market services in both movement of freight by rail and in logistics.
A working group made up of the three parties, along with their Customs service organizations is developing a schedule for the joint operation as well as conducting market research on rail container freight between Asia and Europe. Additionally it is developing the legal, economic and organizational framework for such a joint venture and writing a final document covering the group’s conclusions.
