May 5, 2014
Manufacturers stayed constant in number while number of buyers grew.

March shipments were up 8 percent from February and more than 20 percent from March 2012, according to Panjiva’s most recent analysis of monthly trade data. This increase follows the pattern of most previous years these analysts measured, showing March with higher imports than February. What’s particularly notable about this is that the number of manufacturers remained almost unchanged February to March, while there was an increase in the number of buyers importing into the U.S.
