Talks of a recession heated up on April 9 when Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, said the US is likely headed toward a recession. And on April 15 his bank said there was a 60% chance of a recession.
Earlier that week Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, said the US might already be in a recession. And at an event for the Economic Club of New York said that other CEOs also think the U.S. is "probably in a recession."
However, others disagree. On April 15, Brian Moynihan CEO of Bank of America, said his bank’s baseline economic forecast does not call for a recession this year.
