Exide Technologies has introduced its GNB Sonnenschein Lithium Material Handling Battery, optimized for the challenges of the modern warehouse environment. The company has also introduced its cloud-based fleet management software, GNB Fleet.
The Material Handling Battery is specially designed to minimize total cost of ownership in material handling applications. GNB’s retrofitting communicator allows all information to be presented via the lift truck’s on-board display without any additional external instruments.
GNB Fleet provides real-time data on all batteries connected to its chargers. Simple, traffic-light-style reports enable energy consumption and productivity to be optimized. The software also notifies users immediately of any issues in the fleet using state-of-health information, allowing corrective action to be taken before uptime is affected. Preventative maintenance can also be scheduled automatically.
