Vertical Carousel
Vidir Solutions has introduced the Tire Carousel, a motorized vertical carousel engineered to maximize storage capacity, improve workplace safety, and streamline tire handling for automotive, warehousing and retail environments. Purpose-built for high-density tire storage and retrieval, the Tire Carousel makes full use of overhead space to save floor space while securely storing as many as 352 tires on a single standard unit.
The Tire Carousel is designed to deliver every tire directly to the operator at a comfortable, ergonomic working height. This reduces the risk of injuries caused by bending, lifting and pulling from unsafe positions, while also ensuring retrieval of inventory. Its compact footprint of only 60 square feet makes it suitable for facilities with limited storage space.
The Tire Carousel accommodates tire sizes up to 44 inches in standard models and is capable of storing both tires with rims and those without. Each unit features carriers made of three pipes in a triangular configuration that cradle the tires securely in place. A limiter bar provides both support and a clear guide for determining which tire sizes will fit within the carousel.
Each carrier comes standard with two tire dividers, which can be used to separate tire types and ensure quick identification. The system supports loads of up to 2,000 pounds per carrier, with a maximum total load capacity of 18,000 pounds. With a retrieval speed of 21 feet per minute, the carousel provides rapid access to inventory.
