Automated Dock-to-Trailer Conveyor
KEITH Manufacturing Co. has introduced the KEITH Freight Runner Dock to Trailer System, an Auto Truck Loading (ATL) system that automates the transfer of goods between dock and trailer.
The conveyor is designed to eliminate the need for personnel or forklifts to enter the trailer, replacing the traditional dock plate with an automated pathway for pallet transfer between dock and trailer.
The Freight Runner Dock to Trailer system keeps personnel and equipment off the dock plate and out of trailers to reduce fall risk. It removes employees from the loading area, minimizing the chance of being hit by equipment, and eliminates the need for employees to manually handle products, decreasing lifting injuries. By moving workers out of the hazardous dock zone, the system also reduces exposure to extreme heat or cold conditions.
Facilities can load and unload trailers in as little as five minutes. The KEITH Freight Runner system’s adaptability and diverse configurations make it suitable for handling pallets in various environments, from warehousing and assembly lines to vehicle and trailer interiors for agile delivery systems. The “drop‑in” design of the chain and runner conveyor simplifies installation.
