High-Capacity Truck-Mounted Forklifts
Hiab has launched two high-capacity truck-mounted forklifts: the MOFFETT M8 65.3P NX2 (shown) and M8 65.4P NX2. These heavy-duty models boost lifting capacity by nearly 20%, moving from 5,500 lb to 6,500 lb. They are available in both 2-way (3-wheel) and 4-way (crab mode) directional drive pantograph configurations.
At the heart of the new M8 series is the Lift Assist system, which offers true single-side offloading. Operators can extend up to 5,500 lb across the full width of a truck or trailer bed at heights up to 8 feet. Zero vehicle repositioning eliminates the need to move transport vehicles midway through offloading or drag heavy materials across trailer beds.
A high-visibility Class III fork carriage, redesigned protective grill and 360° strobe beacons protect operators and ground crews on busy or congested worksites. A 3.5-inch multifunctional color display provides drivers with instant diagnostics, including tilt angles, fuel levels and engine information. An integrated CAN bus gateway transmits real-time operational data to cloud platforms via the MyHiab app and HiConnect network.
