Denso Adds New Function to QR Codes

March 24, 2015
The company, which invented the QR code, is demonstrating a new series of readers and code display types that have wide use in the material handling industry.

Denso, a leader in the development and use of QR codes, is unveiling some advanced-feature QR codes. Kevin Bradshaw, sales and business development manager for Denso, says the new secure QR codes allow users to add encrypted data which will yield expanded meta data when scanned with an enabled device.

Bradshaw adds that new scanners can read bar codes from a distance of 10-12 feet away, allowing for enhanced speed and efficiency in a warehouse setting.
