Aug. 15, 2013
Under the transaction, to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013, Wynright will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daifuku Webb.

Daifuku Webb Holding Company (Daifuku Webb), a subsidiary of Daifuku Co., Ltd., entered into a definitive agreement to acquire privately-owned Wynright, a U.S.-based provider of conveyor and sortation systems, voice- and light-directed order fulfillment technology and a suite of warehouse controls and execution software, robotics, mezzanines, and structures. Under the agreement, Wynright will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daifuku Webb.  The acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013.

“The acquisition of Wynright will strengthen our business in North America and greatly improve the services and products we offer our customers,” said Brian Stewart, chairman, president & CEO of Daifuku Webb Holding Company.

The acquisition of Wynright fits into Daifuku’s new corporate management plan, Value Innovation 2017, which started in April 2013.  The plan outlines the company’s business goals.
