MINNEAPOLIS, January 21, 2003 -- Pitney Bowes Distribution Solutions (PBDS), a division of Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI), today announced a reseller agreement with Hazmat Software LLC of Longwood, Fla. The agreement brings together PB TMS Enterprise web-based transportation management system with Hazmat Software's best-in-class hazardous materials documentation software, EasyShip Platinum Web(tm).

"For the first time, shippers of hazardous materials will be able take care of their shipping and documentation needs with one integrated solution, without having to re-key information," said Joe Ferrazzo, Product Manager, PBDS. "Our joint collaboration throughout the development of EasyShip Platinum Web means our hazmat customers will have access to the best overall solution on the market."

Ferrazzo says the two programs work together seamlessly, appearing as one application to the user. TMS Enterprise is an integrated, Web-based transportation management system that provides total visibility into critical logistics information, including order fulfillment details, shipment status, package tracking and reporting. EasyShip Platinum Web is also a web-based application that generates hazardous materials shipping documents that comply with DOT 49-CFR and International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations. EasyShip also supports certain small carriers' requirements for hazardous materials documentation.

"Companies shipping hazardous materials need to be sure that each shipment complies with DOT and IATA regulations and meets carrier requirements," said Luis Zambrana, president of Hazmat Software. "Users want the process to be simple, too. The PB TMS-EasyShip Platinum Web solution delivers on both counts."
