Conveyor Orders Down, Shipments Flat in January

The January Booked Orders Indexes were 239 for Bulk Handling Equipment and 108 for Unit Handling Equipment. The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 136 in January, an increase of 3% from December 2010’s Twelve-Month Index of 132.

The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 137 in January, which is unchanged from December 2010’s Index. The January 2011 Index represents an increase of 43% over the January 2010 Index of 96.

December Billed Sales Indexes were 225 for Bulk Handling Equipment and 118 for Unit Handling Equipment. The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 132 in January, an increase of 3% over December 2010’s Twelve-Month Index of 128.
