Makefield Group, a new consulting firm, will offer services in business strategy, project management, supply chain and process improvement for such industries as pharmaceuticals, life sciences and medical devices

Makefield Group LLC has commenced operations as a consulting firm dedicated to helping companies manage the strategic, operational and technical challenges and opportunities involved in transactions such as mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, consolidations and creation of new lines of business. The company will also help established companies with internal re-engineering, cost-reduction and productivity initiatives, and assists start-up ventures with build-out of their operational and systems infrastructure.

Makefield Group provides senior corporate managers with external support and perspective based on the experience of the firm’s founding principals, who are professionals in business process improvement, manufacturing and operations, supply chain management and technology.

According to firm principal Dana Cooper, Makefield Group is already engaged by a number of clients, including an assignment to seamlessly and securely transfer all of the operational, ERP, financial and technology systems of a privately held drug manufacturing facility, following its divestiture from a global pharmaceutical company.

In addition to Cooper, Makefield Group’s senior management team consists of Dan Dotson and Andrew Layton, all of whom – in addition to their previous consulting firm roles for clients that included the U.S. State Department and Department of Defense – have held senior positions with companies such as Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Rodale Inc., Voxware, Charles Jones and Trilogy Market Technologies. Makefield Group is headquartered in Newton, Pa.
