Crowley Maritime Corporation has produced a children’s book “Amazing Tugs” which describes and illustrates the various roles tugboats play in maritime operations. Narrator “Tugboat Tom” takes children through a brief history of the tugboat and then describes the different types of tugs and the operations they perform. From large containerships to Navy destroyers and fuel barges, tugboats have helped ships navigate harbors and dock for loading and unloading for the last 200 years. The 18-page book is full of watercolor illustrations by Craig Johnson showing various marine operations. Joy Kosola Johnson provides the text. Concept and editing are by Mark Miller.

Crowley offers the book for $5.00 in its company store at www.crowley.com
