U.S. Imports up 9% from June to July
Panjiva, providers of information on global trade and overseas suppliers, reports that activity was high for the month of July. The number of waterborne shipments coming into the U.S. experienced a nine percent month-over-month increase from June to July (compared with a five percent month-over-month increase from June to July in 2011). Additionally, the report found:
• The number of global manufacturers shipping to the U.S. went up five percent from June to July and
• The percentage of significant manufacturers on the Panjiva Watch List remained steady at 19 percent.
