Z Photoelectric Sensors

May 7, 2009
Z Photoelectric Sensors from SICK offer flexible mounting options.

Minneapolis, MN – SICK, announced the launch of its Z Photoelectric Sensors, and the introduction of the next generation of ELF Photoelectric Sensors. These new, low-cost sensors will greatly reduce customers’ material and labor costs by offering added mounting flexibility, easy setup, and specifically-tailored solutions designed for customers.

Whether customers choose a standard front mount or a spherical ball mount, when combined with a swivel bracket, these low-cost sensors are infinitely adjustable. This flexibility makes the ELF and Z Sensors suitable for almost any presence detection application on conveyor lines, packaging machines, bin controls, and hands-free systems. They are all rated IP 67 for harsh environments. The ELF and Z are both assembled in the United States, which allows SICK to customize the sensors (cable cut to length, addition of different connectors, brackets, customer-specific cable label, bulk pack, kit with reflector/bracket, etc.), reducing customers’ material and labor costs, and providing greater flexibility.
