Grand Rapids, Michigan, Thursday, February 13, 2003-Provia Software, a leading provider of order-to-delivery supply chain execution software solutions, announced that it has signed an expanded license agreement with its longtime customer, third-party logistics provider Total Logistic Control (TLC). With the expanded license agreement, TLC is adding Provia's integrated ViaWare WMS and YMS (warehouse and yard management) products and standardizing on Provia's software solution across all facilities. TLC will be using Provia's ViaWare to manage logistics operations in over 33.3 million cubic feet of temperature controlled storage and 1.5 million square feet of dry storage space.
Based in Zeeland, Michigan, TLC is the nation's only 3PL offering a complete array of logistics services across all temperature ranges, including dry, refrigerated and frozen. This differentiator has contributed to TLC being named among Inbound Logistics magazine's 'Top 10 3PL providers in America' for five consecutive years.
As a Provia client for more than 15 years, TLC has used Provia's FourSite product, a multi-platform, multi-database order/warehouse solution specifically designed for the 3PL market, at a number of locations. With the expanded agreement, TLC will continue to use FourSite and will implement Provia's integrated ViaWare WMS and YMS products at additional TLC facilities currently using competitive products. TLC will use the functionality in ViaWare WMS and YMS and FourSite to streamline order management through delivery and service a wider range of TLC customers including many leading food and beverage manufacturers.
According to Richard Brouwer, TLC's vice president of Information Services, the company made the decision to standardize on Provia across all of the company's facilities because of Provia's history of delivering solid software products and commitment to partnership. "Provia offers TLC the advanced level of robust software solutions that fit our varied customers' needs for complex fulfillment services," said Brouwer. "Adding Provia's integrated ViaWare WMS and YMS and standardizing on Provia products across all our facilities gives TLC a strategic advantage over other 3PLs who rely on multiple systems for their supply chain management needs. Provia's technology has served TLC well for many years and we look forward to this expanded level of partnership. As our business continues to grow, we will look to take our relationship with Provia even further, expanding the Provia integrated suite to other TLC locations."
The new agreement with TLC further demonstrates Provia's strength in the 3PL market. "An increasing number of our 3PL clients are seeing great value in standardizing on Provia as their logistics software offering," said Ken Lewis, president and CEO of Provia. "Expanding relationships with existing clients validates not only Provia's robust product suite, but also our dedication to client satisfaction. We will continue to evolve our product offering to serve the changing needs of the 3PL industry."
