Under Armour, Inc. (Baltimore) appointed James Calo as the company's first chief supply chain officer. In his new role Calo will be responsible for managing the global production planning, sourcing, development, logistics and distribution. Mr. Calo spent the last six years managing similar functions as senior v.p. of operations for VF Corp.'s Sportswear Coalition and Nautica Enterprises, Inc., a VF subsidiary. Prior to that, he served as the v.p. of operations and as a divisional controller for Polo Ralph Lauren Corp.


"Jim will play a key role in our company's strategic initiative to leverage our supply chain as a competitive advantage as we expand internationally," said Under Armour chairman and CEO, Kevin Plank. “We're confident he'll help us optimize our supply chain to generate greater efficiencies and bottom line impact."
