Introduced by FedEx Custom Critical, the new company is called FedEx Truckload Brokerage. It exists in context with other subsidiaries in the company's stable: FedEx Expedited Freight Services, FedEx Express Freight, FedEx Freight, FedEx Ground and FedEx Trade Networks.

The company opened its doors--or phones--for business on January 2, offering truckload services ranging from regular and dry van freight to larger cargo requiring flatbed equipment, as well as temperature sensitive freight. Shippers using FedEx Truckload Brokerage services work directly with an account manager who handles all shipment requirements from setup to determining the best carrier for the movement through final invoicing.

“FedEx Truckload Brokerage gives customers another choice on their freight-shipping menu,” says John Colonna, managing director of the company. “We have spent the past 12 months developing relationships with the top carriers in the country to ensure we deliver the quality and reliability that our customers expect from FedEx.”

The telephone number for FedEx Truckload Brokerage is 888-444-5940.
