Bill Golden, president of ILS, said the move would link its cross-dock operations in Tucson, AZ, Mission, TX and Hermosillo and Empalme, Mexico as well as connecting to FedEx’s import/export operations and global infrastructure.

In other news, Transport Intelligence reported DHL is in talks for “some type of joint venture” with the state-run India Post. The India Post recently leased a Boeing 737-200 from Indian Airlines to handle express consignments serving the North East through its Kolkata regional hub.
