Descartes Acquires Pacific Coast Tariff Bureau

Pacific Coast Tariff Bureau (PCTB) has provided tariff and contract publishing services to ocean carriers, non-vessel-operating common carriers (NVOCCs) and shippers for over 60 years.

It also provides technology solutions to help users manage ocean contracts and apply correct freight rates to bills of lading for ocean shipments. Descartes, which is a global, on-demand software-as-a-service (Saas) provider will pay $2.1 million in cash to acquire the assets of PCTB.
