Matson’s Matson Integrated Logistics and J.B. Hunt Transport Services have partnered to offer a guaranteed service from Ningbo and Shanghai to Long Beach and various U.S. inland destinations under a single invoice. Matson, which says it offers the fastest transit times in the Ningbo/Shanghai/West Coast U.S. lane will offer the guaranteed service for full container loads. Matson has an 11-day transit time from Shanghai and next-day cargo availability in Long Beach and was ranked number one in on-time service by a Drewry Shipping Consultants survey.
Connecting with the premium ocean service is the J.B. Hunt link which offers a guaranteed, expedited transload service and delivery option. The service uses J.B. Hunt 53-foot containers to consolidate ocean freight for domestic transport. Hunt will provide expedited intermodal or over-the-road service for inland deliveries.
