RedPrairie Corp. has jointly developed a commercial, off-the-shelf print and apply solution for RFID with Xterprise Inc. The application will provide fully automated inline labeling systems using Printronix's printer/applicator systems to meet the RFID requirements of suppliers to Wal-Mart and the Department of Defense (DoD).
RedPrairie's middleware technology, combined with Printronix's compatible printing capabilities, provides an advanced, flexible solution for RFID compliance and data management. RedPrairie's RFID Igniter middleware solution accepts the download of orders requiring labels from manufacturing or warehousing systems, and manages the coordination of Printronix's print/encoding and applicator equipment in conjunction with conveyor systems.
