YORK, Pa.—To provide solutions for logistics campuses and distribution centers (DCs), Institute St. Onge has joined in a strategic partnership with Somerset Capital Group, Ltd., headquartered in Bridgeport, Conn.
These campuses and DCs generally offer large warehousing capacity, highly standardized storage, in addition to IT capabilities and logistics services. They serve as focal nodes for movement of goods that require use of a wide range of material handling equipment—from conveyor systems to lift trucks to container cranes.
The Institute is a sister company of St. Onge Co. that is involved in planning and designing DCs on four continents. Somerset Capital has 25 years of experience, offering counseling and development of the most appropriate financing for equipment in DCs.
In discussing the benefits of the partnership, Doug Slais, senior vice president of vendor relations for Somerset Capital, claimed, “The combination of the Institute’s logistics and distribution expertise with our financial products and services will provide an immediate benefit to the end user, both in logistical efficiencies and cost savings.”
